At least 13 local up-riser forces supporting government were killed following attack in northern Takhar province last night.

Keshwarnews quoting BNA reported, Mohammad Jawad Hejri spokesman of Takhar governor told media, the local up-riser troops were killed, while a group of Taliban fighters stormed on their security shells in Lala Guzar region, Khawaja Bahauddin district of the province.

Four local up-riser forces were wounded during the attack as well, Hejri added.

It has been said, by arriving reinforcement troops, Taliban fighters were forced to flee from the area.

Taliban also sustained fatalities during the attack, but the exact number is not clear yet.
